Re: ! My Secret ! I have a secret. It's a secret that my mother told me when I was little before she died. She told me "Alicia if you look at the positive and not the negative... life is going to be fine." Well that challenge was tested on me the day my mother died. I was devastated when I lost my mother to ovary cancer. I knew about the Bible and where Christian's go to when they pass away but I was very, very angry. Angry that my mother died at the young age of thirty. Angry that she never got to see me walk down the stage at my senior graduation. I was angry with God. The Church. People. For two months I walked around in a sad and moody mode. Even my sister noticed. My sister who was always by my side gave me an album. "What's this?" I asked one night. She looked at me "It's a photo album." I pushed it away "how dare you give me a picture album that contains 'our family!'" I said. My sister chuckled but she walked away. I slowly opened it and a letter fluttered out. I reached down and grabbed it. Written on it was my mother's favourite saying :'if you look at the positive and not the negative... life is going to be fine.' I cried that night really hard because I realized that God did not take my mother away it was her time. It was up. I realized that I had to let go of my mother. I had to have a great look at my future. A year passed and here I am now. I just want to say that my mother had taught me something valuable and through her death I learned to grow closer to God and to know that one day I will see her. She'll lean down and whisper "You did what I said and looked at the positive and not the negative." This is my secret for a better life.  Blackball this message as innapropriate |

Re: ! My Secret ! I just read parts of 90 minutes in Heaven. Good book, and it talks about our loved ones that have passed before us, and where they are and what they are doing... You will certainly see your mom again in Heaven, and until that day comes, take all she taught you and hold it near to your heart. She is right about what she said. Re: ! My Secret ! I missed my mother there was so much about her I loved. Sometimes I'd hear to ~just get on with life~so cruel when you miss someone but later when I was in the kitchen of an aunty's home I broke and she came in and told me that her mother died 17 years ago and she still missed her. We miss the person we knew and it's ok to miss them and we can be comforted knowing we will see them again. Be blessed and comforted and loved. Blackball this message as innapropriate |

Re: ! My Secret ! I lost my Mother at age 8. I lost my Father at age 15 I lost my Grandmother (who raised me) at age 31? So I am no stranger to losing a loved one. It is hard, and it hurts sometimes. You just have to ask God to heal your broken heart, your anger and He will. Be saved, so you can see your loved ones again, SooN. :) Be blessed. ~s. The love we leave behind in a heart is Not to die.
